Difference between R4 and R4i gold:

  • 1. Moonshell version: R4i is 1.60 and R4i gold Edition is 1.71

  • 3. System setup: R4i gold Edition has its own kernel file (v1.28) which is different from R4i
  • 4. R4 need to update firmware to play with DSi v1.4, but it is not necessary for R4i gold.
